The Sandbox Adventure at Porac Pampanga

It’s Summer time already! Time to get a little sun, try out fun activities and get some adrenaline rush!
Playing in the sand, riding bikes or running up and down at the playground were every young kids definition of one hell of a summer back in the days, but this generation is all about high tech gadgets. Sandbox brought the thrill back by providing a huge playground for young kids and kids at heart to play in the sand and to get down and dirty with all the facilities they’ve put up.

We were invited by Stratos Inc., an events organizer group to try out what Ayala Land has cooking up for this summer.
Ayala Land in partnership with Leonio Land is developing a large scale environment right at the heart of Porac, Pampanga, which they called Alviera. A lot of projects are set to be launched this year and one of the first attractions is The SandBox. It offers guests a number of exciting and fun-filled outdoor activities.

One of the first things we tried out is The Adventure Tower, which is a 5 floor high kind of structure with every corner having an activity worth trying out. For safety of course, every individual that wants to try out either wall climbing, free fall or rappelling, needs to be geared up. The line was pretty long so, we managed to only try out wall climbing. The wall is presumably for beginners but some couldn’t even reach half way haha.

The Free Fall activity seemed pretty easy when you look at it from the bottom but from the top, its a whole new ball game. We witnessed one of the guests try it out, just by looking at him fall from the top looks pretty smooth but as soon as he reached the bottom, he’s feet reached the ground, hopefully that didn’t hurt at all. They should probably consider putting additional protection, like a soft landing just for more safety.
The Aerial Walk is an obstacle course that test your strength and stamina. It’s certainly a playground for grownups replacing monkey bars and slides.

The Sandbox also offers ATV and UTV rides, check out ATV Petrohead Facebook page for more information on these rides. We got the chance to try out the ATV and UTV and first things first, wear a helmet for safety. It’s easy to operate the vehicles and really a fun and exciting experience.

You can book for a tour using the ATVs and UTVs around the area as a group and enjoy the natures of Porac Pampanga.

The Sandbox officially launches its opening on April 12, 2014 to the public and guests who come and experience this new fun activity spot will also have the chance to try out the first ever Giant Swing and roller coaster zip-line. Other much lighter activities can be enjoyed by guest like mini-golf and biking as well as enjoy kite demos and on April 12 enjoy a concert by Bamboo.
We compiled a couple videos to give you a feel of what you can expect at The Sandbox:

The Sandbox is open from Tuesdays to Saturdays, 9:00am to 5:00pm. For booking guidelines, visit the The Alviera website at http://www.alviera.ph and on http://www.facebook.com/AlvieraPH
