Todd English Food Hall

Food Hall, a new concept worth trying out at Todd English, all the way from New York to Manila!

At first glance of Todd English Food Hall, it seemed like a really fancy schmancy place but hey, it was Tim’s birthday and we wanted to celebrate it somewhere nice and totally different. The food hall concept was totally new in our resto vocabulary.  When you peek from the outside, it had quite a few stations spread across the restaurant. So the place was either a really high end kind of food court or another buffet joint in the metro. It wasn’t any of the theories we came up with haha, it is actually a fine dining restaurant that has various stations crafting up the delicious dishes that you would find below.

When our order was served, we felt that the servings was too little but then actually it was a lot!! I think the plates gave it an illusion that the food had small portions or we were just really hungry and felt it wasn’t enough.

Calamari (Php 250)

Tim’s favorite during that night was their deep fried Calamari, served with Chipotle Chorizo sauce and topped with Arugula salad. Who would have thought, all that combined would make a perfect appetizer. If we had more space to stuff our hungry belly’s we would have a second plate.

Goat Cheese Ravioli (Php530)

For my main dish, I tried their Goat Cheese Ravioli and I thought I was going to regret it! Why? Well, I really don’t eat beetroot and the dish screams BEETROOT!! and not cheese haha but then it was really good as it gave the goat cheese a little more taste and texture.

Lamb Chops (Php910)

For the birthday boy, he had the Lamb Chops, food fit for a king! Now, another dish that had an ingredient I always remove from any kind of entree. Can you guess? it’s the GREEN PEAS! haha but then again it was yet another perfect combination and the peas just melts in your mouth.

OMG Chocolate Cake (Php420)

Last, but certainly the best part, DESSERT!! We were stuffed but we just had to try out one of their desserts and it was Tim’s birthday. It’s never complete without have a plate of sweetness. OMG!! yes OMG chocolate cake is the name of the dessert and OMG it’s really rich and OMG delicious. It’s warm and cold and silky and smooth and rich in chocolate. Absolute heaven in your mouth!

    Very nice-looking restaurant.

Seeing your photo of just-enough-fried exquisite calamari with its very fair price of 250.00 php., I’ll consider eating here…

    Thanks 🙂

The place looks great and the food looks sooo good. Especially the ice cream ( featured image lol). I love how they displayed the wines though!
